Services

I believe every person is unique in biology, history, culture, and values. I tailor care to the individual in front of me, moving carefully and collaboratively so you feel better without unnecessary side effects.

I believe details matter. Small changes in routines, doses, or communication can unlock big improvements in mood, sleep, cognition, and family life.

Treatment Modalities

  • Comprehensive evaluation of cognitive and behavioral symptoms, including physical, neurological, and cognitive exams when medically indicated

  • Strategies for calmer routines, clearer roles, and safer care at home. Education on Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy Body, and Frontotemporal syndromes.

  • Slow, careful titrations with attention to comfort and function. Compounded doses when needed for sensitive patients and older adults. Skilled deprescribing (taking patients off of medication) when a medicine no longer helps.

  • Equip caregivers and family members with Dementia Care Skills Training to ensure safety and quality of life for your loved one

  • Monitoring and improvement of sleep. Practical plans for nutrition and movement based on real data from your week. Referrals for body composition, VO2 max, RMR, and selected biomarker testing when useful.

  • Evidence based approaches drawn from Supportive Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, ACT, Problem Solving Therapy, and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy.

  • Targeted over-the-counter options for anxiety, sleep, mood, energy, and focus after reviewing your history, preferences, and labs.

  • Evaluation for contributors such as anemia, thyroid imbalance, vitamin D deficiency, and hormone changes. We optimize what is measurable.

  • When indicated, pharmacogenetic guidance to reduce trial and error and improve tolerability.

  • Skills rooted in mindfulness and Buddhist influenced practices to build observer awareness, reduce reactivity, and cultivate calm and gratitude.

  • Second opinions and teamwork with your primary care clinician, neurologist, therapist, or other specialists.

  • Culturally attuned care for immigrants, refugees, and families navigating multiple cultures. Attention to language, values, and context.

Appointments + Fees

All initial intake and follow up appointments are done via Zoom telehealth or in person.

Prior to the initial intake appointment, I offer a preliminary 20 min Zoom appointment to ensure that we are a good fit.

My in-person appointments are done in my office in Palo Alto or at the patient’s home.

Please note that I am unable to accept Medicare or any insurance. I love doing this work because I am passionate about providing the most optimal quality of care for you and your loved ones. This often means, among other things, longer and more thorough appointments, as well as convenient contact in between appointments so that we can problem solve issues that come up in real time.

Thus, I am opted out of Medicare and do not accept insurance, in order to avoid their policies interfering with our work together.

All payments are accepted via credit card or direct bank account transfer (ACH). There is a discount for ACH payments.
