Private Geriatric Psychiatry Practice
A geriatric psychiatry practice offering personalized, integrative, evidence-based treatment for older adults dealing with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
I help older adults and their caregivers move from overwhelm and uncertainty to stability and confidence by combining advanced brain health science with functional medicine, psychotherapy, and compassionate, relationship-centered care.
I will give you and your loved ones the detailed attention, thorough care, and deep respect required to uncover the causes of your suffering and to find a path toward healing that fits your life, values, and physiology. My work blends rigorous medical training with empathy and joyful appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual.
Concierge care is also available for patients who need more frequent touchpoints during crises or medication adjustments.

Hi, I’m
Dr. Quang-Dang
I’m an integrative psychiatrist who believes that healing happens when we treat the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — with patience, compassion, and precision. Every person has a unique story, biology, and set of circumstances, and my goal is to create a comprehensive treatment plan that truly fits you and those involved in your care, rather than with a one-size-fits-all model.
My path to psychiatry was shaped by both my family and experiences. Growing up, I watched my mother, a community psychiatrist, change people’s lives on the front lines, and my stepfather, a UCSF Psychiatry Professor, change lives with cutting edge research. Through them, I saw firsthand how mental health care can bring hope and transformation. During my training at Harvard, New York Medical College, the Harvard School of Public Health, and UCSF, I developed a deep respect for both scientific rigor and human complexity. Today, I integrate evidence-based medicine, psychotherapy, and holistic approaches — including lifestyle, supplements, and mindfulness practices— to help patients find clarity, resilience, and joy in their lives.
I specialize in:
Evaluation and management of cognitive changes/impairment and dementia
Helping families navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one with dementia
Treatment of behavioral symptoms that affect functioning as a result of dementia
Optimizing brain health to help reduce the risk of dementia
Treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum conditions in older adults
Treatment and support for caregivers coping with burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, and/or depression
Thoughtful medication management and careful, tailored deprescribing (taking patients off of medications)
Culturally sensitive care for patients and families with immigrant or refugee backgrounds
“Caregiving is the hardest and most meaningful work I do outside the clinic. It taught me how roles shift, how communication must change, and how love can feel like control when fear is in the room.” — Dr. Quang-Dang
My areas of focus.
Cognitive changes and dementia
Behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD)
Anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum conditions
Insomnia and sleep disturbances
Caregiver stress and burnout
Medication side effects and complex polypharmacy concerns
Every person is unique. Your treatment should be too.
Do you notice changes in your parent or spouse’s memory or behavior that leave you feeling worried whether they have signs of dementia, or do they have behaviors that make it challenging to care for them or to keep them safe? Do you feel helpless in the face of witnessing your loved one become more confused, scared, and at times lashing out?
Do you notice changes in your own mood, memory, or energy that leave you feeling like you’re not yourself anymore? Maybe you’ve been caring for an aging parent or spouse and feel stretched thin, trying to stay strong while quietly burning out.
Many of my patients and their families come to me after months or years of feeling not fully heard, or feeling that “more can be done.” Many have been white-knuckling it through the day-to-day challenges of life. Some want to feel like themselves again: calm, focused, connected, and hopeful. Some are bewildered by brand new changes in their mood or memory, and are at a loss as to what to do.
Together, we uncover the causes of what’s happening, addressing mind, body, and environment in a way that truly fits you.
Do you…
